Fried S’mores Bombs

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). This step is crucial as the right temperature ensures a tremendous frying experience that leads to a crispy exterior. Use a kitchen thermometer for accuracy.

  2. Roll out each biscuit to flatten. This will make room for the filling. Just place each biscuit on a clean surface and gently press it with your hands or use a rolling pin if you like.

  3. Place a piece of chocolate and a marshmallow in the center of each biscuit. Keep in mind, the size of the chocolate piece may vary based on your preference, but ensure that it fits comfortably within the dough.

  4. Fold the edges of the biscuit over the filling and seal tightly. Pinch the dough together to prevent any filling from leaking out during frying. A good seal is important for maintaining that tremendous gooey texture inside.

  5. Dip each bomb in the beaten egg. This will help create a lovely golden color and extra crispiness when they are fried. Ensure each bomb is coated evenly.

  6. Fry each s’mores bomb in the hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Keep an eye on them; you want that perfect hue! The smell will be tremendous, making it hard to resist a taste.

  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. This helps to absorb any excess oil and keeps the bombs light and crispy.

  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. This final touch adds a lovely sweetness and makes your Fried S’mores Bombs visually appealing.
