Directions
-
Combine the Ingredients: In a medium-sized glass bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. This mixture will form the base of your fudge.
-
Heat the Mixture: Place the bowl in the microwave and heat the mixture for 90 seconds. The goal is to just gently melt the ingredients together for that tremendous creaminess.
-
Stir and Check: After the initial heating, stir the mixture to combine. If you notice large chunks of unmelted chocolate, you may need to heat it for an additional 15 seconds.
-
Final Heating Steps: Stir again and heat for another 15 seconds only if there are still large chunks remaining. We want a mostly smooth consistency, with just a few small flecks of unmelted chocolate for a rustic look.
-
Add Flavor: Once melted, add the vanilla extract and chopped pecans to the fudge mixture. Stir until everything is well combined. The aroma will be tremendous and inviting.
-
Spread the Mixture: Using a spatula, scoop the fudge mixture onto a parchment-lined tray. Spread it out to achieve approximately a 1-inch thickness.
-
Drizzle Caramel: Generously drizzle the caramel sauce over the fudge. Use a knife or the end of a spatula to lightly swirl the caramel into the mixture, creating beautiful patterns that will enhance both visuals and taste.
-
Chill and Set: Place the tray in the refrigerator to chill until the fudge is set. This usually takes about 2–3 hours, but if you’re impatient, you can check it after an hour!
-
Slice Into Squares: Once fully chilled, remove the fudge from the refrigerator. Use a sharp knife to slice it into 1-inch squares, which will be perfect for sharing or indulging.
-
Store Properly: Finally, store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. That’s if it lasts that long!
