Prepare the Watermelon
Start by cutting off the rind of your watermelon. Take a few moments to chop it into 1-inch cubes. This process may seem trivial, but it lays the foundation for the tremendous texture of your sorbet. -
Fill the Pint Container
Next, take your Ninja Creami pint container and fill it with the diced watermelon. Make sure to reach the max fill line! This detail is crucial for achieving the perfect sorbet consistency. -
Add Coconut Water
Pour the coconut water into the container, filling it up to the max fill line as well. This step is vital; the coconut water not only adds tremendous flavor but also balances the sweetness of the watermelon, resulting in a harmonious blend. -
Freeze Overnight
Once everything is in place, securely add the lid to the pint container. Place the container in your freezer on a level surface and leave it there overnight for 12 to 24 hours. This waiting period will prepare your mixture for the next step, cultivating a sorbet that is both refreshing and creamy. -
Prepare for Blending
When you’re ready to spin your sorbet, remove the pint from the freezer. If you find it challenging to take out the sorbet, microwave it for 30 seconds or run the outside of the pint container under hot water for a couple of minutes. This action will help loosen the sorbet, making it easier to blend. -
Spin the Sorbet
Place the softened pint in the Ninja Creami machine and select the sorbet setting. I have also found that using the lite ice cream setting works beautifully, so feel free to experiment. -
Achieve Desired Consistency
After the initial spin, if the sorbet appears a little dry or chunky, don’t worry! Simply re-spin as needed for that smooth, creamy texture we all crave. You’ll be amazed at how a few additional spins can transform your dessert into something truly special.
