Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). It’s essential to have your oven ready for that tremendous bubbling cheese layer that will top off your casserole.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat, ensuring that your casserole isn’t too greasy.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water into the skillet. Cook until the mixture has thickened, allowing the flavors to meld together beautifully, creating a tremendous flavor base for your casserole.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the crushed corn chips. This crispy layer will add texture and delight to your dish!
- Add the beef mixture evenly over the corn chip layer, followed by the corn, which will add a sweet crunch. Then, sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top.
- Add the remaining corn chips over the cheese layer, followed by the remainder of the cheese. This will ensure that every bite is filled with cheesy goodness.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. This step brings everything together in a tremendous way!
- Serve warm and watch as everyone dives into this crowd-pleasing casserole.
