- Fresh garlic, minced — 4–5 cloves
- Heavy cream — 1 ½ cups
- Chicken broth — ½ cup
- Grated Parmesan cheese — 1 cup (freshly grated preferred)
- Red pepper flakes — ¼ tsp, optional
- Fresh parsley, chopped — 2 Tbsp, for garnish
