- 1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
The Filling:
- 1 cup (240 ml) caramel sauce
- 1 cup (150 g) chopped pecans or walnuts
The Frosting:
- 1 cup (240 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 1/2 cups (440 g) powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup (50 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
The Topping:
- Additional caramel sauce for drizzling
- Chopped nuts for decoration
