Triple Crust Peach Cobbler

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). This initial preparation sets the stage for your tremendous cobbler by ensuring even baking.

  2. Melt the butter in a baking dish. The dish should be large enough to hold all the ingredients, and melted butter will provide a rich base that makes the crust flavorful.

  3. In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. This step creates the dry mixture that forms the base of your cobbler.

  4. Stir in the milk until smooth. This will help bind the dry ingredients, creating a thick batter that will rise beautifully during baking.

  5. Pour the batter over the melted butter (do not stir). Allowing the batter to sit atop the melted butter will yield a tremendous crispy crust as it bakes.

  6. In another bowl, mix the sliced peaches with lemon juice and pour over the batter (do not stir). The lemon juice adds a subtle zing that complements the sweetness of the peaches perfectly.

  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown. The cobbler will rise and bubble delightfully, filling your kitchen with a heavenly aroma.

  8. Serve warm, preferably with ice cream. A scoop of vanilla ice cream allows the tremendous flavors of the peach cobbler to shine, creating a delightful contrast in temperature and texture.
