Taco Cups

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This step ensures that your Taco Cups bake evenly and achieve that desirable crisp texture.

  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Be sure to drain any excess grease, as this helps keep the filling flavorful without being too greasy.

  3. Add the taco seasoning to the beef and mix well to combine. The seasoning will add tremendous flavor, transforming the meat into a delicious filling for your Taco Cups.

  4. Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray. This step is crucial to ensure your wonton cups come out easily after baking.

  5. Take a wonton wrapper and press it into a muffin cup, allowing the edges to hang over. Each wonton acts as a sturdy vessel, cradling the beef and cheese.

  6. Fill each wonton cup with the seasoned beef and top with shredded cheese. The tremendous gift of melted cheese enhances the flavor and brings all the ingredients together beautifully.

  7. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the wontons are crispy and the cheese is melted. Keep a close eye to avoid burning, as oven temperatures can vary.

  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve with sour cream, salsa, and chopped green onions on top for a fresh burst of flavor.
