Directions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This step gets your oven warmed up to create that tremendous, cozy environment to bake.
-
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Remember to drain any excess fat to keep the dish from being too greasy.
-
Add the chopped bell peppers, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté these ingredients until the vegetables are soft. This should take about 5 to 7 minutes and will create a tremendous aroma in your kitchen.
-
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, diced tomatoes (including their juice), and uncooked rice. Mix well to ensure all the flavors meld together.
-
Bring the mixture to a simmer, letting the ingredients mingle and develop flavor for about 5 minutes.
-
Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish, spreading it out evenly to ensure it cooks properly.
-
Cover with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the rice is tender. The steam will help fluff up the rice, resulting in a tremendous texture.
-
Remove the foil for the last 10 minutes to allow the top to brown slightly, adding a touch of crispiness to the dish.
-
Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the warm, inviting flavors with your loved ones.
