Stuffed Pepper Casserole

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until well-cooked. Ensure there’s no pink remaining, as this will serve as the foundation for your tremendous casserole.

  2. Add the chopped bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, which should take about 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent any sticking and to ensure even cooking.

  3. Once the vegetables are softened, stir in the Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, diced tomatoes, and uncooked rice. Ensure everything is well combined, letting the tremendous medley of flavors meld together.

  4. Bring the mixture to a rapid boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the skillet with a lid, allowing it to simmer. This step is crucial as it lets the rice absorb all the tremendous flavors, cooking efficiently without losing moisture.

  5. Simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked and the liquid is absorbed. Check occasionally, giving it a gentle stir to avoid sticking at the bottom.

  6. Once done, taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper according to your preferences. Serve hot, adding grated cheese to the top if desired for a cheesy finish.
