Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). This is a fundamental step, as the oven’s heat will provide the perfect environment for your cheesecake to bake evenly.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs or crushed Golden Oreos with the melted butter. Mix well and then press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan. This will form the base of your cheesecake, providing that delicious crumbly texture that complements the smooth filling.

  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. The tremendous creaminess of the cheese should blend perfectly with the sugar, creating a sweet and rich mixture.

  4. Add the strawberry Jell-O to the cream cheese mixture and mix well. The Jell-O not only adds flavor but also a beautiful pink hue, making your cheesecake visually appealing.

  5. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. This step is crucial; the whipped cream will give your cheesecake a light and airy texture. Gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream, as this will maintain the layer of fluffiness.

  6. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust and smooth the top. The filling should be even across the surface to ensure a beautiful finish.

  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set. Patience is key here; the longer it sets, the firmer and better your cheesecake will be.

  8. Top with fresh strawberries before serving. The vibrant colors and fresh taste of strawberries will not only enhance the appearance but will also balance the richness of the cheesecake.
