Strawberry Crepe Roll

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, and sugar until smooth. This batter is fundamental, so mix it thoroughly to ensure a tremendous consistency. Once mixed, let the batter rest for about 30 minutes. This allows the flour to hydrate and results in beautifully tender crepes.

  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly coat it with butter. A genuinely well-heated skillet will be key to making those perfect crepes. Pour a small amount of batter into the skillet, enough to create a thin layer. Swirl the skillet gently to help cover the bottom. Cook for 1-2 minutes until you see the edges lift slightly and the surface looks set. Then, using a spatula, flip the crepe and cook for another minute.

  3. Remove the crepe carefully and place it on a plate. Repeat with the remaining batter, stacking the cooked crepes on top of each other. The layers will keep each other warm and moist, adding to that tremendous fluffy texture we’ll soon enjoy.

  4. Once all the crepes are made, it’s time to assemble! Take a crepe, place a generous amount of sliced strawberries on one side, and add a dollop of whipped cream. Roll the crepe tightly, enclosing that delightful filling. Do the same with the remaining crepes.

  5. Serve these beautiful Strawberry Crepe Rolls immediately. A dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of chocolate sauce can elevate them further. Enjoy every morsel!
