Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream with vanilla extract until it forms soft peaks. Set aside. This will create a tremendous whipping cream that adds volume and lightness to the dessert.

  2. In another bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. This mixture will be the foundation of your filling, contributing to the wonderful cheesecake flavor.

  3. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture gently. This step is crucial for maintaining that fluffy texture; be careful not to deflate the cream!

  4. Spread a layer of ladyfingers at the bottom of a large glass trifle dish, making sure they are in an even layer. Lightly brush them with orange liqueur or orange juice to allow the flavors to marry beautifully.

  5. Next, spread a layer of strawberry jam over the ladyfingers. This will add an extra burst of strawberry flavor and moisture as you build your trifle.

  6. Add a layer of the cream cheese and whipped cream mixture over the jam. The creaminess of this layer is what makes this trifle so indulgent and satisfying.

  7. Now, place a layer of sliced strawberries on top. The fresh strawberries will add a lovely tartness, balancing the sweetness of the jam and cream mixture.

  8. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used. Try to finish with a beautiful layer of strawberries and a few mint leaves for garnish, creating a visually stunning dessert.

  9. Refrigerate your trifle for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. This chilling time allows all those tremendous flavors to meld beautifully for a truly decadent experience.
