Directions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. The melted butter will provide a tremendous foundation for the flavors to build upon as it creates a rich base for sautéing.

  2. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until they are tender, absorbing the butter and beginning to develop their own tremendous flavor. This usually takes about 5-6 minutes.

  3. Once the mushrooms are ready, add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until it is nicely browned, ensuring it is broken up into smaller pieces for even cooking. This should take approximately 7-8 minutes.

  4. Stir in the chicken broth, steak sauce, and Dijon mustard. These ingredients will elevate the dish by adding depth and creating a deliciously thick consistency.

  5. Simmer the mixture for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. This step allows the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken, resulting in a tremendous blend of taste and texture.

  6. Serve the hot mixture on hamburger buns, making sure each bun is generously filled. The warm filling will soak into the bread, enhancing the overall experience.
