The Base

- 1/2 avocado, diced or sliced
- 2 oz smoked salmon
- 1 poached egg
- A few thin slices of red onion
- 1/2 tsp capers (optional)
- Fresh chives or dill, for garnish
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
