Directions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven is warming up, lightly grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or butter to ensure your croissant cups won’t stick.

  2. Assemble the Base: Open the can of refrigerated croissant dough and carefully unroll the dough. Each triangle should fit into a muffin cup to form a small cup. Gently press each triangle into the muffin cups, ensuring you cover the sides completely.

  3. Mix the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, lump crab meat, chopped shrimp, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated parmesan, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and Old Bay seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to your liking. Stir until the mixture is well combined and smooth.

  4. Spoon the Filling: Carefully spoon the seafood mixture into each croissant cup, filling them generously. Top each cup with a whole shrimp for an impressive final touch. This step adds a tremendous visual appeal and extra flavor.

  5. Add the Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush the mixture over the tops of the filled croissant cups. This step will help create a beautiful, golden crust as they bake.

  6. Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15–18 minutes. Keep an eye on them towards the end of the baking time. You want them puffed and golden brown for the best texture and flavor.

  7. Garnish & Serve: Once baked, remove the croissant cups from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Garnish with extra chopped parsley for a fresh pop of color. Serve them warm for the most tremendous taste experience.
