Seven-Layer Taco Dip

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the refried beans with the taco seasoning. Mix it together well until the seasoning is fully incorporated. This step adds a tremendous flavor that will serve as the foundation of your dip.

  2. Spread the seasoned refried beans mixture evenly in the bottom of a serving dish. Be sure to create a smooth layer, approximately half an inch thick, for a solid base that will hold the dips above.

  3. Next, layer the sour cream over the refried beans. Use a spatula to spread it evenly. The rich creaminess of the sour cream contrasted with the seasoned beans creates a tremendous taste experience.

  4. Pour salsa over the sour cream layer, allowing it to cascade down slightly. Make sure you spread it evenly; the tangy flavor adds a fresh element to the dip.

  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously on top of the salsa. This melty, cheesy layer introduces a delightful richness that many people eagerly anticipate.

  6. Finally, add the diced tomatoes as your last layer. The bright color and juicy texture of the tomatoes provide a refreshing finish to the dish.

  7. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy your tremendous creation!
