Directions
-
Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions, usually set at 350°F (175°C) for a perfect bake.
-
Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions. Typically, this involves mixing the cake mix with eggs, oil, and water until well combined.
-
Pour half of the batter into a greased cake pan, ensuring a smooth, even layer at the bottom. This will be the foundation for our delicious layers.
-
In a bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter and melted chocolate until it forms a smooth, luscious filling. This mixture will add a tremendous layer of flavor to the cake.
-
Swirl the peanut butter mixture into the batter in the cake pan by gently dropping spoonfuls across the surface and using a knife to swirl it. This creates a beautiful marbled effect.
-
Top with the remaining batter to cover the peanut butter filling completely. This will create a delightful surprise once baked!
-
Sprinkle the chopped Reese’s cups on top of the batter. This will melt slightly during baking and create a delightful, chocolaty topping that enhances the cake’s appeal.
-
Bake according to the cake mix box instructions, usually about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
-
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a while before transferring it to a wire rack. This allows the cake to set and makes it easier to slice.
