Directions
-
In a saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. This will set the foundation for a tremendous fudge base.
-
Once the butter is melted, add in the mini marshmallows, sugar, heavy cream, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir continuously until everything is melted and the texture is smooth.
-
Remove the saucepan from heat. Mix in the vanilla extract, white chocolate chips, and red gel food coloring. Ensure everything is well combined for a beautiful color.
-
In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 1 tablespoon of butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy. This layer adds a tremendous richness to your fudge.
-
Gently fold in the 1/3 cup of white chocolate chips and a pinch of salt into the cream cheese mixture.
-
Layer half of the fudge mixture into a greased dish, smoothing it out evenly. Next, follow with the cream cheese mixture, spreading it gently over the fudge base.
-
If desired, top with additional fudge mixture, smoothing it out over the cream cheese layer. This will create a beautiful marbled effect.
-
Chill the entire dish in the refrigerator until set, which usually takes about 2 hours.
-
Once set, cut into squares, and serve. You can sprinkle some colorful sprinkles on top for a festive touch.
