Red Velvet Cake

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans to ensure easy removal later.

  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, fine salt, and cocoa powder. This step is crucial for achieving the tremendous softness of the cake.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk, red food coloring, vanilla extract, and white vinegar until well combined. The vibrant red hue will be a sight to behold.
