Follow these simple steps to create your own Quick Chocolate Bread that’s tremendous in flavor and texture:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth. This mixture will add incredible moisture to the loaf.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix gently until just combined. Remember, don’t overmix; a few lumps are perfectly fine. This step is crucial for achieving that delightful texture.
- If using, gently fold in the chocolate chips, adding even more chocolate goodness to this tremendous loaf.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula to ensure even baking.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Your kitchen will smell absolutely amazing during this time!
- Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then carefully transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. This step will help maintain the loaf’s wonderful texture.
- Slice the loaf and enjoy it warm or at room temperature. Serve it as is or with a spread of butter for added richness.
