Quick Blueberry French Toast Casserole

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter to prevent sticking and ensure a lovely, golden crust.

  2. Cut the bread into cubes, roughly 1-inch in size, and place them evenly in the prepared baking dish. This allows the bread to soak up the custard wonderfully.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. You want to ensure that the mixture is well combined, so each bite is infused with flavor.

  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, making sure to soak them thoroughly. It should look tremendously delicious and inviting by now.

  5. Sprinkle the fresh blueberries on top of the soaked bread cubes. Their sweet-tart flavor complements the richness of the custard, creating a harmonious balance.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. The smell will begin to fill your kitchen, making it hard to wait!

  7. Let it cool slightly before serving. This step allows everything to set even more beautifully. Enjoy your creation with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of syrup, if desired.
