Directions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
-
In a spacious mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined. This step is crucial for ensuring the even distribution of flavors and textures in your bread.
-
Pour in the milk and melted butter (or olive oil) into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix; a few lumps are perfectly acceptable. Overworking the dough can lead to a dense bread instead of the light, fluffy texture we desire.
-
Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top, creating an even surface for beautiful baking.
-
Place the pan into your preheated oven and bake for about 20–25 minutes. The bread is done when the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, which is a tremendous assurance of doneness.
-
Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for approximately 10 minutes. After that, transfer the loaf to a wire rack, slice into pieces, and serve warm, enjoying every delightful bite.
