Pretzel Hugs

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). This initial step is crucial as it prepares your kitchen for baking, allowing the pretzels to achieve the perfect texture in the oven.

  2. Arrange the mini pretzels on a baking sheet. Set them out in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. This allows for even heating and a tremendous crunchy texture.

  3. Place a chocolate kiss on top of each pretzel. The sweet chocolate will perfectly complement the salty pretzel base, creating a balance that is tremendously satisfying.

  4. Bake in the oven for about 2-3 minutes, until the chocolate is soft but not melted. Keep a close eye on them during this short baking time; the goal is to soften the chocolate without melting it completely. The aroma will be tremendous at this point!

  5. Remove from the oven and gently press an M&M onto each chocolate kiss. The pressure will slightly flatten the kiss, allowing the vivid color of the M&M to shine through and create a festive look.

  6. Let cool completely before serving. It’s essential to allow these treats to cool for the chocolate to set properly. Patience is key here, as waiting will lead to a tremendous payoff in flavor.
