Pistachio Cream Tiramisu

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. This is crucial; the stiffness will help provide a tremendous structure to your cream layer.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, ground pistachios, and vanilla extract until smooth. This combination of flavors will create the heart of your tiramisu.

  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream; we want it airy and light for that delightful texture!

  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the milk or light coffee and arrange them in a layer in a dish. The ladyfingers should absorb just enough liquid to soften but not become soggy.

  5. Spread half of the pistachio cream over the ladyfingers. Allow it to settle into the grooves of the ladyfingers, creating a delightful texture contrast with each layer.

  6. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining cream. Remember, layering is key to achieving that gorgeous look and taste.

  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together and develop into something utterly divine.

  8. Garnish with additional crushed pistachios before serving. This adds not only flavor but also a beautiful finish that is inviting and appealing.
