Pioneer Woman’s Peach Cobbler With Canned Peaches

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 F (175 C).

  2. While the oven is preheating, place the stick of butter in a baking dish. An ideal size would be around 9 x 13 inches, ensuring enough space for the tremendous cobbler to rise and spread beautifully.

  3. Pop the baking dish into the oven as it warms up. This step lets the butter melt evenly, coating the bottom of the dish and enhancing the overall flavor of the cobbler.

  4. Once the butter has melted, carefully remove the dish from the oven. Be cautious, as it will be hot.

  5. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and ground cinnamon. Stir these dry ingredients until well combined.

  6. Gradually add the milk to the dry mixture, mixing until it is smooth. Aim for a batter that is free of lumps for the best texture.

  7. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir it; the layers will meld beautifully during baking.

  8. Open the canned peaches, and without draining them, pour them along with their syrup over the surface of the batter. Aim for an even layer, ensuring the peaches sit atop but remain separate from the batter below.

  9. Slide the cobbler into the preheated oven. Bake for approximately 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges start bubbling. You’ll experience tremendous anticipation as your kitchen fills with the aroma of sweet peaches and buttery goodness.

  10. Once baked, allow the cobbler to cool for a few minutes before serving. It pairs wonderfully with a dollop of ice cream or whipped cream for a truly decadent experience.
