Directions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). This step is vital as it ensures the crust bakes perfectly, resulting in a delightful crunch.
-
Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until they become fine crumbs. You can also place them in a sealed bag and crush them with a rolling pin if you don’t have a processor.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter. Stir until the mixture is well combined and resembles wet sand.
-
Press the cookie mixture firmly into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust. Use the back of a measuring cup or your fingers to pack it tightly for a substantial base.
-
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. This step adds a tremendous depth to the flavor. After baking, allow it to cool completely.
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, softened cream cheese, and powdered sugar. Use an electric mixer to whip the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and creamy, which should take around 2-3 minutes.
-
Gently fold in the whipped cream with a spatula until it’s well blended. This lightens the filling and adds a fluffy texture that balances out the richness of the peanut butter.
-
Pour the peanut butter mixture into the cooled Oreo crust. Spread it evenly with a spatula to ensure each slice has a beautiful presentation.
-
Drizzle generously with chocolate and caramel sauce over the top. You can also sprinkle candy chunks for an extra burst of flavor and texture.
-
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving, or overnight if you prefer. This will set the filling for the perfect slice.
