Directions
-
Preheat the Oven
Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). This initial step is crucial for achieving that perfect cheesecake texture. -
Prepare the Crust
Using a food processor, blend the graham cracker crumbs until they resemble fine crumbs. Combine the crumbs with the melted butter and mix well. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan to create the base. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, allowing it to firm up before adding the filling. -
Create the Cheesecake Filling
In a stand mixer, combine the softened cream cheese and smooth peanut butter. Mix these ingredients until they are well combined and creamy. Gradually add in the sugar and flour, mixing thoroughly after each addition. -
Incorporate the Cream and Eggs
Slowly pour in the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract, mixing until the batter reaches a creamy consistency. Crack the eggs into a bowl and add them to the mixture one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. -
Layering the Filling and Topping
Pour half of the cheesecake batter into the prepared crust. Then, drizzle half of the warmed strawberry topping on top. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the topping gently into the batter. Carefully pour the remaining batter over the top and repeat the process with the remaining strawberry topping. -
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. After this time, reduce the oven temperature to 200°F (95°C) and continue baking for another 50–55 minutes. The cheesecake should be set but still have a slight jiggle in the center. -
Cool Gradually
Once baked, turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar. This gradual cooling will help prevent cracking. Allow it to cool for about an hour before transferring it to the refrigerator. -
Chill Overnight
Refrigerate the cheesecake overnight for the best flavor and texture. This resting period is essential for allowing the flavors to meld beautifully. -
Serve and Enjoy
Before serving, top with whipped cream, an additional drizzle of strawberry topping, and chopped peanuts for that extra crunch and visual appeal. Each bite of this tremendous cheesecake will take you back to carefree childhood days.
