Peach Cobbler Pie

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a pie dish to ensure the cobbler comes out easily.

  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and the ground cinnamon. Mix well until the peaches are evenly coated. Pour this tremendous mixture into the prepared pie dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt. Combine these dry ingredients well. Next, add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture, stirring until smooth and well blended.

  4. Carefully pour this batter evenly over the peach mixture in the pie dish. The batter will rise as it bakes, creating a wonderful texture that pairs beautifully with the juicy filling.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Your kitchen will smell tremendous as the pie bakes.

  6. Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving. This gives it time to set and will make it easier to slice.
