The Base

- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh orange juice
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Optional: 1/2–1 teaspoon orange extract
- Optional: A few drops of orange food coloring
The Frosting
- 1.5 cups (340 g) softened butter
- 5 cups (600 g) powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) cream or milk
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Optional: 1 drop orange food coloring
