Directions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This step is crucial, as a properly heated oven will ensure even cooking of your tremendous meatloaf.
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion soup mix, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, and milk. Use your hands to mix until fully combined; you’ll want to be thorough but gentle to maintain that tender meatloaf texture.
-
Once mixed thoroughly, shape the mixture into a loaf form. Place this mold in a baking dish that is large enough to hold the meatloaf comfortably.
-
In a separate bowl, prepare the glaze by mixing together the ketchup, balsamic vinegar, and brown sugar. The combination of these ingredients offers a tremendous depth of flavor that will enhance your meatloaf.
-
Pour half of the glaze over the meatloaf. Make sure it spreads evenly to give the top a beautiful glossy finish as it bakes.
-
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour. During this time, baste the meatloaf occasionally with the remaining glaze to amplify the flavor and keep it moist.
-
After an hour, check the internal temperature of the meatloaf. It should reach a safe 160°F (70°C). If it needs more time, keep baking and check again.
-
Once done, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute, making for a more succulent slice.
-
Slice the meatloaf and serve warm, perhaps with a side of mashed potatoes or a vibrant green salad, for a tremendous meal experience.
