The Filling:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
The Base:
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss – optional but recommended)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Cooking spray or a little butter
