In a large pan, cook the sliced sausage over medium heat until browned. This is where the tremendous flavors start to develop. As the sausage cooks, it will release its oils, creating a lovely base for the dish.

Next, add the diced onion and bell pepper to the pan. Cook these ingredients for 3-4 minutes or until they soften. The sweet aroma will fill your kitchen, making it feel cozy and welcoming.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Garlic is always a tremendous way to enhance flavor, and it will add a beautiful depth to your dish.

Now, add the rice and stir to coat it in the sausage drippings. Each grain will soak up that incredible flavor, and you will see how everything is coming together wonderfully.

Pour in the broth and BBQ sauce, bringing it to a boil. This combination will create a flavorful liquid that the rice can absorb.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 18-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed. The steam will work its magic, resulting in perfectly fluffy rice.
