Midnight Fudge Mango Cake

Directions

  1. Prepare the Brownie Batter: Start by preparing the brownie batter as directed on the box or using your chosen recipe. This is the foundation for your cake, so be meticulous in following the directions for that tremendous chocolate flavor.

  2. Make the Cake Mix: In a separate bowl, make the cake mix according to the instructions on the box or your selected recipe. This cake is the light and fluffy counterpart to the dense brownies.

  3. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Then, grease a 9×13 baking pan generously with butter or non-stick spray to ensure easy removal of your tremendous creation after baking.

  4. Layer the Mixtures: Pour half of the cake mixture into the greased pan, spreading it evenly. Next, add half of the brownie mixture on top. Sprinkle a layer of diced mango over the brownie mixture, letting the tropical fruit bring a burst of sweetness to the layers.

  5. Repeat Layering: Repeat the process with the remaining cake batter, brownie mixture, and diced mango. Each layer adds to the cake’s complexity and flavor.

  6. Swirl the Mixtures Together: Take a knife and gently swirl the mixtures together in the pan. This will create a beautiful marbled effect that makes the cake visually appealing.

  7. Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Once baked, allow the cake to cool for approximately 20 minutes.

  8. Add Hot Fudge Topping: Drizzle warm hot fudge over the cooled cake, allowing it to melt into the layers and create a luscious finish that accentuates the rich chocolate and fruity mango.
