Loaded Waffle Fries with Cheese and Bacon

Directions

  1. If you’re using fresh potatoes, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Take your potatoes and cut them into waffle shapes. Toss them with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt to ensure they’re well-coated.
  2. Bake the waffle fries according to package instructions or until they are golden brown and crispy if you opted for fresh potatoes. The aroma wafting from your oven will already hint at the tremendous flavors to come.
  3. Once they’re looking wonderfully crispy, remove the fries from the oven. It’s time to top them! Generously sprinkle the shredded cheese over the fries, followed by the crumbled bacon to create that comforting layer.
  4. Return the loaded fries to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, creating a tremendous visual feast in your kitchen.
  5. Finally, garnish with sliced green onions for that fresh, zesty touch. Serve with a dollop of sour cream on the side, if desired, for an added creamy element.
