Loaded Nachos with Ground Beef & Cheddar Cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray or foil pan with foil. This will help make cleanup a breeze and ensure that your cheesy nachos come out perfectly.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, stirring frequently. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, drain any excess fat for a cleaner taste.

  3. Stir in the taco seasoning along with the water. Allow it to simmer for 3–4 minutes until the mixture thickens. This step adds tremendous flavor, infusing the beef with wonderful spices that complement the nachos.

  4. Spread the tortilla chips evenly on the prepared baking tray. Make sure they are in a single layer for the best cheese coverage.

  5. Spoon the seasoned beef evenly over the chips. You want every chip to have a taste of that tremendous beef mixture.

  6. Now, sprinkle generously with shredded cheddar cheese. Don’t be shy; this is where the magic happens.

  7. Place the tray in the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly. The aroma will be fantastic at this point!

  8. Once out of the oven, top with sour cream, diced tomatoes, jalapeños, cilantro, and any extra toppings you desire. Customize them to your heart’s content!

  9. Serve immediately while the nachos are hot and cheesy. It’s the perfect opportunity to gather everyone around and dig in.
