Directions
-
In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. This marinade is what adds tremendous flavor to your chicken, so make sure it’s well-mixed.
-
Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. For best results, let it sit for up to 4 hours—the longer, the more tremendous the flavor.
-
Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C). Achieving the right temperature is essential for a perfect cook.
-
If grilling, place the marinated chicken breasts on the grill. Cook for approximately 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked through. In case you’re baking, transfer the chicken into a baking dish and bake it for about 25-30 minutes. The internal temperature must reach 165°F (75°C) for safety.
-
After cooking, allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes. This step allows the juices to redistribute, making it even more tender.
-
Finally, serve the chicken with fluffy steamed rice and colorful steamed vegetables. This combination adds not just nutrition but a tremendous visual appeal to the meal.
