- Cook the Noodles: Begin by cooking the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain them thoroughly and set aside.
- Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. The aroma will already start to guide your senses toward a tremendous culinary experience.
- Brown the Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until it is thoroughly browned, breaking it apart as it cooks to achieve a loose, incredible texture.
- Add Aromatics: Stir in the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté until fragrant, which should take about a minute. This combination will fill your kitchen with inviting scents.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar, cornstarch, soy sauce, chili paste, and salt, if using. Mix until smooth, then pour the mixture into the skillet with the beef.
- Thicken the Sauce: Cook while stirring for about 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens. This process will create a stunning glaze that clings to the beef and noodles.
- Toss in the Noodles: Add the cooked noodles and optional frozen peas to the skillet. Gently toss everything together so that the noodles are well-coated in the sauce and heated through.
