Start by buttering one side of each slice of bread. Make sure to spread it evenly to achieve a perfectly golden crust.

Place one slice of bread butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat. This will be the base of your sandwich.

Add half of the shredded cheese on top of the bread. Allowing the cheese to melt is key to achieving the right texture.

Scatter fresh blueberries over the cheese. The juiciness of the blueberries compliments the richness of the cheese tremendously.

If you’re using honey, drizzle it over the blueberries at this stage. This adds an extra layer of flavor that enhances the overall experience.

Add the remaining cheese on top of the blueberries. This will act as a glue to hold everything together.

Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up. This creates a sandwich that is wonderful when flipped.

Cook for about 2-3 minutes, then flip carefully. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Remove from the pan, slice, and serve warm. Enjoy the warmth and cheesy goodness as you take your first bite!
