Italian Sliders

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). A warm oven sets the stage for tremendous flavor to come.

  2. Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish. The soft bread will cradle the multitude of flavors you are about to add.

  3. Layer the deli meats generously on top of the buns. Feel free to mix and match your favorites to suit your taste.

  4. Place a slice of provolone cheese over the deli meats, allowing it to melt into the savory layers below.

  5. If you enjoy a bit of spice, add a few pepperoncini on top of the cheese for a tremendous kick.

  6. Place the top halves of the sliders on, creating a delightful sandwich that is both inviting and satisfying.

  7. In a small bowl, melt the butter thoroughly. Once melted, mix in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush this tasty mixture over the top of the sliders, ensuring they are generously coated.

  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are beautifully golden brown.

  9. Serve the sliders warm, accompanied by marinara sauce for dipping. The tangy sauce adds the perfect final touch to this tremendous meal.
