Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake

Ingredients

The Crust

  • 24 Oreo cookies (crushed into fine crumbs)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

The Ice Cream

  • 1.5 quarts (about 6 cups) vanilla or chocolate ice cream (slightly softened)

The Fudge Sauce

  • 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

The Topping

  • 2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip or whipped cream)
  • Chocolate syrup or extra fudge drizzle
  • Chopped nuts or chocolate shavings (optional)
