Homemade Shrimp Burger with Guacamole

Directions

  1. Start by seasoning the shrimp. Toss the shrimp in a mixing bowl with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Ensure every shrimp is well coated for maximum flavor. The tremendous aroma will start to fill your kitchen as you prepare them to be cooked.

  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned shrimp and cook for about 2–3 minutes per side. You want them to turn pink and opaque, achieving that perfect juicy tenderness.

  3. While the shrimp are cooking, prepare the guacamole. In a separate bowl, mash the ripe avocados using a fork. Stir in the lime juice, finely chopped jalapeño (if using), and a pinch of salt. Add the chopped cilantro or chives for an added burst of flavor.

  4. If you opted for a rich buttery finish, take your brioche buns and spread a thin layer of butter on their cut sides. Place them in a skillet or on the grill, toasting them lightly until golden brown. The tremendous warmth from the toasted buns will elevate your burger’s overall appeal.

  5. Now it’s time to assemble your shrimp burger. Spread a generous amount of guacamole on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Pile on the hot shrimp, adding extra herbs if desired for garnish, and finally, place the top bun in place.

  6. Serve your shrimp burgers warm alongside sweet potato fries, crispy chips, or a refreshing slaw. Enjoy every tremendous bite!
