Directions
-
Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish to form a solid crust.
-
Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This step is crucial for achieving a tremendous texture. Once combined, gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until you achieve an even consistency.
-
Layer the Cheesecake: Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust evenly. Next, layer the banana slices, crushed pineapple, and halved maraschino cherries over the cream cheese layer. It’s astonishing how the layers blend so beautifully. Finally, spread the remaining cream cheese mixture on top of your fruit layer, creating a lovely, even surface. Drizzle chocolate syrup and caramel sauce generously over the top.
-
Chill and Serve: Refrigerate your creation for at least 4 hours, or until it’s set completely. Before serving, garnish generously with whipped cream, additional banana slices, maraschino cherries, and a sprinkle of chocolate pieces for that extra touch of indulgence.
