Heavenly Hot Fudge Sundae Brownie Cheesecake

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven according to brownie mix instructions. Prepare a 9-inch springform pan by applying a light coat of cooking spray to ensure easy release later.
  2. In a large bowl, prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions. If you choose to make homemade brownies, ensure they are adequately mixed and baked to perfection. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for the specified time.
  3. While the brownies are baking, in another mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until the mixture is smooth. This creamy filling is where the tremendous flavor comes from.
  4. Once the brownies are done, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. If the recipe calls for it, reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (163°C) at this point.
  5. Pour the cheesecake filling over the brownie base. Use a spatula to spread it evenly across the surface, ensuring every corner of the brownie is covered with that creamy treasure.
  6. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 50-60 minutes. You’ll know the cheesecake is set when the edges are firm yet the center is slightly jiggly—this will yield a tremendous texture.
  7. Once baked, allow the cheesecake to cool before transferring it to the refrigerator. Chill for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, allowing the flavors to meld perfectly.
  8. When you are ready to indulge, slice the cheesecake and serve it topped with warm hot fudge and your favorite sundae toppings like whipped cream, chopped nuts, and a maraschino cherry.
