Hamburger Stew

Directions

  1. In a large pot, begin by browning the ground beef over medium heat until it is cooked through. Be sure to drain the excess fat to keep your stew light and appetizing. The tremendous smell of beef sizzling in the pan is a wonderful precursor to the dish ahead.

  2. Once the beef is cooked, add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté these ingredients until the onion becomes translucent, enjoying the tremendous aroma that fills your kitchen.

  3. Next, stir in the diced potatoes, sliced carrots, and the can of diced tomatoes. The combination of these ingredients will create a robust base for your stew, so mix well.

  4. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, ensuring all ingredients are well combined. This step infuses the stew with a tremendous depth of flavor.

  5. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes and carrots are tender. The tremendous blend of flavors will meld beautifully as it simmers.

  6. Season the stew with salt and pepper to taste; don’t be shy in this step, as these seasonings enhance the overall taste.

  7. If you wish to add a pop of color and sweetness, add the frozen peas during the last few minutes of cooking. They’ll add not only flavor but also a delightful texture.

  8. When ready to serve, ladle the stew hot into bowls and garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh finish. Enjoy this tremendous meal with loved ones, reflecting on the good moments shared around the dinner table.
