Grilled Cheese Burrito

Directions

  1. Cook the Beef (8–10 mins):
Begin by browning the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. After cooking, drain any excess grease to achieve a lighter texture. Add the taco seasoning along with 1/4 cup of water, allowing it to simmer for a tremendous 5 minutes. This step infuses the meat with a savory flavor that will elevate your burrito.

  2. Warm the Tortillas:
Heat the tortillas in a dry skillet or wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave for about 20-30 seconds. Warming them makes them flexible and prevents tearing when you start to assemble your burrito.

  3. Assemble the Burrito (5 mins):
Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Start layering your fillings: first, add a generous scoop of cooked white rice, followed by the seasoned beef. Then, drizzle on the nacho cheese sauce and chipotle sauce for an exciting twist. Add a dollop of sour cream to enhance creaminess. Finally, sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella on top to achieve that two-cheese delight.

  4. Grill the Burrito (3–4 mins per side):
Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and add about 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese to the skillet. Place the burrito seam-side down onto the melted cheese. As it cooks, the cheese will form a tremendous crispy crust that will enhance the texture. After about 3–4 minutes, handily flip the burrito and repeat on the other side.
