Directions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan to ensure easy removal of the brownies later.
-
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter and chopped chocolate over low heat. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and fully combined. This step is crucial; you want a tremendous blend that brings out the chocolate’s richness. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
-
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. The sugar should dissolve a bit, creating a nice base for your brownie batter. Pour in the melted chocolate mixture and stir until well incorporated.
-
Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt. Mixing should be done until just combined; overmixing could lead to denser brownies.
-
Now, fold in the shredded coconut and chopped pecans. These additions will give the brownies a tremendous texture that enhances the chocolate.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula for uniform baking.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. You’ll know they are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Take a moment to appreciate the aroma while they’re baking!
-
Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares. Enjoy this homemade treat with family or friends!
