Directions
-
Begin by seasoning the ribeye steaks evenly with salt and pepper on both sides. This simple step is crucial in enhancing the natural flavors of the meat, setting a tremendous base for the dish.
-
Next, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Allow the butter to melt until it begins to bubble; this is where the magic happens.
-
Once the butter is bubbling, carefully add the seasoned steaks to the skillet. Cook them for about 4-5 minutes on one side. The sizzling sound will entice your senses and build anticipation.
-
After 4-5 minutes, flip the steaks using tongs. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic to the skillet. The aroma will be tremendous as it envelops the steak. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for a perfect medium-rare.
-
Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes. This step is essential to keep the juices locked inside the steaks, providing a tender bite.
-
In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Whisk continuously to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. These bits carry tremendous flavor and will enhance your sauce.
-
Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet, continuing to whisk until the sauce thickens, which should take about 3-4 minutes. The sauce should become velvety smooth.
-
Taste the sauce and season with salt and pepper as needed. Adjusting the seasoning at this stage ensures every bite of steak is perfectly complemented by the sauce.
-
Finally, slice the rested steaks, plate them gracefully, and drizzle the Parmesan cream sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley for a burst of color and freshness.
