Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This sets the stage for those tremendous rollups that will soon envelop your home in a cozy aroma.

  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until it becomes crispy. Once cooked, remove the bacon and set it aside. In the same pan, toss in the finely chopped onion. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent, soaking up the flavors of the residual bacon fat.

  3. Add the ground beef and salt to the skillet. Cook this mixture until the beef is nicely browned, about 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking and to maintain that tremendous flavor profile.

  4. Once the beef is browned, stir in the crispy bacon and the shredded cheese. Keep cooking until the cheese melts harmoniously into the mixture, binding all the joyous flavors together.

  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and cut it into squares. Aim for about 3×3 inch pieces to ensure the perfect wrapping size for each rollup.

  6. Take a spoonful of the savory beef mixture and place it right in the center of each square. Gently roll each square up, tucking the sides in as you go to keep all that goodness sealed inside.

  7. Brush each rollup with melted garlic butter, ensuring every bit is covered. This step adds a tremendous depth of flavor and richness to the rollups.

  8. Place the rollups on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for 12-15 minutes. Look for that beautiful golden brown color that will signal they are ready to be devoured.

  9. Serve the rollups warm, perhaps with a side of ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce for a little extra zing.
