Prepare Crust:
Start by gathering a small bowl. Mix the Oreo cookie crumbs with sugar (if you’re using it) until well combined. Next, stir in the melted butter until the mixture is well blended and resembles wet sand. Press this mixture firmly onto the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 9-inch pie plate. Refrigerate the crust for about 30 minutes to set and firm up. -
Layer Ice Cream:
Once the crust is set, itโs time to layer in the ice cream. Spoon 2 cups of your softened chocolate chip or coffee ice cream into the prepared crust, smoothing it into an even layer with a spatula. Drizzle half of the chocolate syrup over the ice cream, and then use a knife to swirl the syrup into the ice cream, creating a lovely marbled effect. Carefully add the remaining 2 cups of ice cream on top, smoothing it out gently. Finally, drizzle with the remaining chocolate syrup and again swirl with a knife to create a beautiful design. -
Freeze the Pie:
Place the completed pie in the freezer, allowing it to freeze until firm. This usually takes about 4 hours or overnight for best results. -
Serve:
When you’re ready to serve, remove the pie from the freezer. Let it sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes to make slicing easier. For an extra indulgent touch, you can garnish the top with whole Oreo cookies before slicing. Serve pieces of this tremendous creation with joy and delight.
